CompMag AR-15 NY-Compliant 10rd Fixed Magazine (New York Version)
The AR-15 CompMag, 10 Round New York Version. (Price is for a single magazine)
The New York Version of the AR-15 CompMag. It loads the same as the California version except it does not include any of the locking features the California version uses for compliance. New York compliance is different and requires a different solution, so the usual California compliance parts are omitted in the New York version. It can also be used in other states that do not require a fixed magazine.
It does not, by itself, make your firearm New York Compliant. You must add your own compliance device.
Lifetime Warranty. If something ever breaks, we will replace it.
10 round capacity.
No need to "break your action" or deviate from the normal operation of your firearm to reload.
No pins to pull out. No fumbling with extra parts or loaders.
Loads easier than a standard magazine. No heavy spring to push each round against.
Will fully load on a closed or open bolt.
Constructed of impact and crush resistant, G.F. Nylon 6.
Ultra durable and heavy duty, built to last. 150% to 300% thicker side walls than most polymer magazines.
17-7 Stainless steel magazine spring.
CNC turned steel charging handle with glossy black oxide finish.
Compatible with standard AR-15 type lowers. (M4, M16, AR15).
NOT compatible with lowers that have a custom or extended magazine well. (such as Seekins SP225, Sharps Bros, HKMR, and Spike's Jack.)
Compatible with many firearms that accept a STANAG (standard AR-15) magazine and that have a removable upper receiver, including: SIG MCX, Daewoo DR200, Bushmaster ACR, CZ Bren, and SIG556. (Will not work in the Tavor or SCAR16).
Round counter indicates exactly how many rounds are left in your firearm, including what's in your chamber.
Holds the bolt open after the last round is fired. Bolt catches and their machined positions in the lower vary. This feature is compatible with most combinations. Even if this feature is not compatible with your set up, the AR-15 CompMag is designed so that the bolt carrier group will not contact the follower when the magazine is empty.
Allows for easy clearing of type 3 malfunctions (such as double feeds).
Accepts both .223, 5.56, and .300 BLK ammunition.
Designed and Made In the U.S.A. Right here in California.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using a device that disables the magazine release with a screw, do NOT tighten it down enough to squeeze the CompMag. Squeezing the CompMag with the magazine catch will result in rounds not being able to pass through the magazine. Always check functionality of the firearm and the ability for rounds and the follower to move through the magazine BEFORE using the epoxy to seal the screw. The CompMag is not compatible with the Mean Arms MA Lock, as it squeezes the CompMag.
HOW DOES COMPMAG WORK?
(By David Maga)
What we have done at CompMag is found a way to help Californians comply with the stricter California laws. SB 880 and AB1135 passed in 2016 outlawing the bullet button that has allowed us to keep our firearms compliant. We needed a good solution to this problem. With the threat of having to having to register our firearms as "assault weapons" on the horizion, and after many long months of designing and testing, we finally we found a way. The CompMag.
The CompMag is the ultimate fixed magazine solution for your firearm. Even though the magazine is fixed into the lower receiver, it still allows your firearm to be very easy to use. The CompMag can be loaded through a door in the side while still in your firearm. Loading is easier than with a standard magazine and there is no need to modify your firearm. The CompMag has an internal locking mechanism that locks into your firearm with just one screw. Super easy installation. No holes to drill. It can also be easily removed by opening the action and removing the screw from the inside. This allows you to have your fully functional firearm back. This is useful if you are going out of state to shoot or you live in a state other than California. While in California, keep it screwed in at all times to be compliant.
Having a fixed magazine allows you you to retain all the other features that we love: a pistol grip, a retractable stock, a forward stock, a thumb hole stock, and a flash suppressor. The AR-15 CompMag can also be used in other restrictive states. Check your local and state laws to see if the CompMag is right for you.
Loading the CompMag couldn't be easier. 1. Retract the spring and lock it. 2. Slide the loading door down. 3. Load the cartridges in. 4. Shut the door. 5. Release the spring. You are ready to fire.
